Uvas de México

We are the only wine marketplace that connects European consumers directly with great Mexican wine producers.

Why is it so difficult to find Mexican wine in Europe that is also of really high quality?

Many new world regions have positioned themselves in the mass production market, using the traditional distribution system aimed at large retailers. There is no system that offers artisanal and high quality Mexican wines, so the products are unknown in the world.

How it all started

Uvas de México was born from a walk through the vineyards of Mexico with the aim of offering consumers a way to discover and buy wine directly from many genuine, high-quality wineries.

Together we have sat in countless bodegas, met dozens of winemakers and listened to their stories to create a transparent, fair and direct channel to consumers in Europe.

Our goal is for consumers to find out that their next favourite wine comes from Mexico.

The team

  • Sebastian Burow

    Sebastian Burow

Sebastian grew up in Winsen (Luhe) in the south of Hamburg and has always been very interested in logistics and business. Training as a forwarding merchant followed by further training as a business administrator were therefore the logical steps. His professional experience in the areas of shipping, logistics and the development of value chains thus form the ideal basis for the successful transport of the precious wine from Mexico to Europe.
  • Fernanda Suárez

    Fernanda Suárez

Fernanda was born in Mexico City and developed her love for Mexican wine at a very early age. While living in Australia and Germany to complete her bachelor's and master's degrees, she discovered that there was no Mexican wine in other countries. Since she had no wine from her home country, she had no choice but to bring her passion for Mexican wine to Europe.
  • Timo Eberhard

    Timo Eberhard

Timo developed a passion for wine early on and loved to visit small wineries in Europe directly on site to replenish the wine supply. On his first trip to Mexico, he discovered the great potential of Mexican wine, but they were not available in Europe. Thus the idea was born to organise the import himself.
